Dr. Patel is a double board-certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist and the founder of Lotus Care Psychiatry, where she provides thoughtful, evidence-based care for children, teens, and adults. Dr. Patel specializes in ADHD, anxiety disorders, OCD (including ERP), parent coaching, and crisis stabilization. She has a particular passion for supporting individuals navigating autoimmune and chronic illnesses.

Meet Karishma Patel, MD
Dr. Patel serves as voluntary faculty at the University of California, San Diego and as clinical staff at Rady Children’s Hospital, San Diego. Over the years, she has cared for children, adolescents, and families across Rady’s inpatient psychiatric unit, psychiatric emergency department, and consultation-liaison service, supporting them through some of their most challenging moments. These experiences have shaped her compassionate, relationship-centered approach to care—one grounded in collaboration, trust, and genuine, lasting growth.
